About Me

Hugh grew up in Alexander City and has a lifetime of Lake Martin memories. He can recall countless stories from childhood like boating with his dad, swimming with his siblings and lakeside picnics with the whole family. These memories span decades. He has seen Lake Martin grow from hosting mainly weekend cabin residents to well established neighborhoods where full-time residents enjoy "lake living" year round. He and his wife Sarah have raised their children on Lake Martin, and today, they love relaxing and entertaining family and friends at their Lake Martin home.

After graduating from Benjamin Russell High School, Hugh left Alexander City to attend the University of Alabama. Once he had completed college, he returned to his hometown to manage the operations of a well-established family business. Years later, the transition to real estate came naturally. With his knowledge of Lake Martin and respect for Russell Lands, Hugh enjoys sharing his expertise with clients every day.

Hugh has always been very active in community affairs. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Russell Medical Center and Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the Lake Martin Area Industrial Development Authority. He has also served as Chairman of the Alabama Council of Hospital Trustees and Directors. In 2008, Hugh was voted Business Person of the year by the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce.

With his knowledge and love for Lake Martin, Hugh is a natural real estate agent for the area. He is a very easy-going, personable person that you can trust.
