Fall Celebrations Reach a Crescendo!

Although October is coming to an end, there are still plenty of fun fall events to attend to keep the fall spirit going strong! Festivals, pumpkin patches, trunk-or-treats and more—there is something for everyone to enjoy!
The City of Alexander City 4th Annual Trunk-or-Treat
Thursday, October 24 – 5-7pm
Alexander City Municipal Complex
Get ready for an evening of candy, costumes, food trucks, live music, and family fun for all ages! We can’t wait to see you!!
Turpentine Tales
Friday & Saturday, October 25 & 26 – 6-7:30pm
The Town Green at Russell Crossroads
Take a guided walk through the Russell Forest, wander along the ruins of the old Turpentine Distillery and get to know the forest animals! Turpentine Tales is a free event that will entertain children and adults alike.
Fall Family Festival
Saturday, October 26 – 10am-1pm
It’s so much fun watching the kids smile and play and run and laugh! It’s fun watching them pick out the perfect pumpkin from the Pumpkin Patch, pet animals in the petting zoo or ride a horse for the first time. Others love the grist mill and the rhythmic popping sound of that old engine as it slowly grinds corn into meal. Other kids are mesmerized by clanging of a blacksmith’s hammer as he works red-hot metal on his anvil in the Blacksmith Shop and so much more!
Creepy Critters Wildlife Presentation
Saturday, October 26 – 9am-2pm
Naturalist Cabin at Russell Crossroads
All of nature is equally amazing and valuable, but the truth is, some critters give us the creeps. This month, visit Naturalist Marianne to see some specimens that are apt to cause a chill. Some will have eight legs and some will have none, but all will be on display for learning and discovery.
Main Street Alexander City Downtown Trick-or-Treat & Fall Festival
Saturday, October 26 – 10am-2pm

Stock up on all kinds of treats for your little ones during our annual Downtown Trick or Treat! Shops will be open and handing out candy from 11am-1pm.
Central Alabama Community College Trunk-or-Treat

Enjoy a safe and exciting evening filled with fun activities, delicious food vendors, and tons of candy. Bring the whole family for a spooktacular night at the CACC Track!
