Holiday Events Spread the Magic of the Season

“I hear those sleighbells jinglin’…” It’s a festive time of year in our beloved small towns! Parades and events dot the calendar leading up to Christmas, and there is plenty to enjoy with family and friends.

 


Spirit of a Hometown Christmas Parade

Sunday, December 3 – 12-4pm
Downtown Dadeville

Vendors set up in the Dadeville High School parking lot, and the parade starts at 3pm.

Alexander City Hometown Christmas Parade

Monday, December 4 – 6-8pm
Downtown Alexander City

Spectators are invited to line the parade route to watch bands and dancers perform, see the festively decorated floats, and wait for the much-anticipated arrival of Jolly Old St. Nick himself.

Stop by Russell Do it Center in Alexander City to visit and have your picture made with the Jolly Old Elf! Also, have your child enter their name for a chance to win the world’s largest stocking full of toys! Drawing will be held Friday, December 22.

This is one of the most beautiful and festive displays in the Lake Martin area, including Santa’s sleigh and a mailbox to the North Pole. Santa will stop for a visit on December 9 and 16 from 11am-1pm to hear items on your Christmas wish list!
