Labor Day Music Fest
Friday & Saturday, September 1 & 2 – 6:30-9:30pm
The Town Green at Russell Crossroads
FREE!

The Labor Day Music Fest brings two nights of some really great music to Russell Crossroads for you to enjoy!  And, like last year, this event is FREE! Grab your family and friends, your comfy stuff, and the leash for the pup and join in the fun with great sounds from some rising artists! Of course, we’ll throw out the cornhole, giant Jenga, and hula hoops. There will also be food trucks on hand!

Friday, September 1

The Bank Walkers, Lake Martin’s favorite cover band, will kick things off at 6:30 with some new tunes on their set list – so make sure you claim your seat early!

Then at 7:45, from the Gulf Coast of Alabama, Funky Lampshades will take over. This group has made a stop or two in the Lake Martin area over the years, and we are excited that they are coming to Russell Crossroads. For a taste of some Funky Lampshades, click here to view a YouTube video!

Saturday, September 2

On Saturday, it’s exciting to have a couple of regional bands that are really taking off. Up first, from Tennessee, Connor Kelly and the Time Warp will take the stage at 6:30. Fronted by Connor Kelly, this band mixes indie rock with a little bit of soul and jazz. Then, drop in some rich synth tones and a moogish vibe, distort it ever so slightly, and you have Connor Kelly and the Time Warp.

Closing out the weekend with a little East Coast vibe is Virginia Man. Virginia Man is an emotional folk-and-roll band. With poetic lyrics reviving the sounds of middle Appalachia, these guys champion the sound of Virginia!

2023 Labor Day Music Fest will be the best ever. Bring the kids and grandkids! We should have a couple of food trucks but remember you can always drop in to Fanny Goldmine Diner or Catherine’s Market for food and drinks, too!

We hope to see you Labor Day weekend on the Town Green at Russell Crossroads!
