The lake season is back and better, and we are ready for a season full of fun events & long-lasting memories made here at Lake Martin! Here’s what you’ll see over the next few weeks.
Russell Marine In-Water Boat Show
Friday-Sunday, April 25 – 27
The Ridge Marina
The list of things to enjoy at the In-Water Boat Show gets bigger every year, and this year is no different. There will be more to see, do, demo, and win than ever before! Plus, we have been keeping a BIG secret that you will not want to miss!
Russell Marine will have over 100 boats in the water and an additional 100 boats on land, all from top-of-the-line boat manufacturers. Whether you’re a seasoned boater or a first-timer, there’s something for everyone.
Flower Making Class
April 26 – 10am-12pm
One Oak Pottery, Dadeville
Learn to hand-mold beautiful clay flowers, perfect for a Mother’s Day gift! After crafting your flowers, you’ll return later to glaze them for a personalized, one-of-a-kind present.
Pastry & Paint
Thursday, May 1 – 9am-12pm
The Grand Bakery
Join local painter Kay Fincher for a painting event from 9am to 12pm on the first Thursday of each month hosted at The Grand Bakery on Broadnax Street in Dadeville.
David Jones Inside The Listening Room
Thursday, May 1 – 6:30-8:30pm
Zazu’s Verandah
Join David Jones for a live performance inside the Listening Room at Zazu’s Verandah on the Dadeville Square! With 13 years of experience after picking up the trumpet again, David has performed across the country and opened for Aaron Neville.
Friday on the Green – Russell Craig

The Town Green at Russell Crossroads
Throughout his career, Russell has been the opening act for country music legends and other popular Nashville recording acts. In addition to his live performances, Russell has written and recorded a number of original tunes that are available on all music streaming apps.
Derby Day at The Stables

It is time to find (or create) the perfect hat and outfit for Derby Day at The Stables. Of course, there will be some finger foods and beverages. Bet on your favorite horses, and help raise some money for Children’s Harbor (50/50 drawing), so bring some real money (we’re still old school, so cash only, please).
Chasing Shadows Inside The Listening Room
Thursday, May 8 – 6:30-8:30pm
Zazu’s Verandah
Join Chasing Shadows, an Alabama-based cover band, for a live performance inside the Listening Room at Zazu’s Verandah on the Dadeville Square! Featuring music from classic bands like the Allman Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, and Blackberry Smoke, this husband-wife duo, Brandon and Jayla Prince, are known for their tight harmonies and laid-back blues riffs.

Jonathan Bloom jumps back on the Green Stage doing a few of those things that he really loves; playing barefoot, singing songs, smiling and hanging out with his family and friends. Come early and claim your spot.

Kick off Memorial Day weekend with Mother MoonPie live inside the Listening Room at Zazu’s Verandah on the Dadeville Square! This Lake Martin-based Rock/Country quintet brings a unique Southern Americana Rock sound, putting their own spin on cover songs from the ’60s to today.
