Kowaliga Cove will be location of new Russell Cabins

On October 15, 2024, the Elmore County Commission approved the development of Russell Cabins at Kowaliga Phase 1. Russell Lands, Inc. has been carefully planning this new development for over five years.

This development, located on the cove just south of Kowaliga Marina and east of Trillium, will provide a collection of beautiful waterfront homesites where Russell Lands can continue to build the “for-sale” cabin product that has been very popular at Nichols Cove, Rose Point, The Willows, and The Ridge.

Road-building crews began the careful removal of trees in advance of road construction last week. Since Phase 1 has a very impressive forest, crews are being careful to only take the trees that are needed to meet Elmore County’s requirements for road width. Once completed, we are excited that a great collection of mature trees will remain.

Road construction is likely to take 4-6 months before the property will be brought to the market. Like the cabin neighborhoods noted above, the sales will be for a combined lot and cabin package. Design, construction, landscape, and shoreline development will all be handled by Russell Lands’ residential construction company, Classic Homes, LLC.

We believe that demand for these cabins will be brisk due to the relatively level topography of the land and the popularity of the design concept. Since first introduced, well over 100 of these cabins have been built with only a small handful returning to the market for resale, usually selling very quickly.
