Join local painter Kay Fincher for a painting event hosted at The Grand Bakery on Broadnax Street in Dadeville. All materials will be provided to complete a canvas picture. No previous painting experience is necessary; however, reservation are required.

Lake Martin Ultra

Russell Crossroads

The Lake Martin 100 returns to the Russell Forest! Runners from all over the US and beyond will take a shot at the Trails in the Russell Forest. There is something for all runners—a 100-mile course, a 50-mile course and a 27-mile Fun Run!

“Women on Lake Martin” Boating Class

Saturday, April 5 – 9am-4pm
River North Marina

Get ready for the boating season with informal, down to earth review of the basic in boating. Hosted by Russell Marine and geared specifically for women, this four-hour hands-on course refreshes you on the basics of boating safety and operation, with on-water demonstrations on many of the most popular boats on Lake Martin.

 


Bunnies and Chicks

Naturalist Cabin at Russell Crossroads

Easter means new life, and the gentle innocence of bunnies and chicks reminds us of this holiday’s significance. We will note what these unassuming animals symbolize during the holy Easter Season. Bring your camera and your children or grandchildren to interact with these traditional symbols of Easter and spring as they learn from Naturalist Marianne.

The Punchbowl Regatta

Friday-Sunday, April 11-13
Dixie Sailing Club

The Punchbowl Regatta, one of two open regattas hosted by the Dixie Sailing Club, is just around the corner! This exciting weekend kicks off on Friday at noon when the DSC gate opens for early arrivals, followed by a Welcome Party from 4:30–7:00 PM with hot dogs, burgers, and chips—just bring your own beverages.

Joshua Michael Woods is a young, up-and-coming singer/songwriter from Opelika, Alabama. He writes and performs songs reminiscent of early country music roots. His motto is “Putting the Cowboy back in Country” which speaks to the musical heritage he is aiming to re-create in his own songs and stories.

Shane Dickerson Woodwind Studio Recital
