Wildlife Presentations

Friday & Saturday, July 2 & 3 – 8am-12pm
Naturalist Cabin at Russell Crossroads

Stop into the Naturalist Cabin during Arti Gras to see some local Russell Forest representatives and learn about the role they play in the woods. You’ll discover what they eat, how they live, and what types of habitats they prefer. Naturalist Marianne will be on hand to interpret the displays and also tell you all about the myths surrounding some of our local wildlife.

 


Arti Gras

Friday & Saturday, July 2 & 3 – 9am-4pm
Russell Crossroads

The tenth annual Arti Gras is coming to the Town Green at Russell Crossroads. Artisans and patrons from all over the Southeast gather for this vast annual display of handmade goods. Artisans feature everything from jewelry, soaps, paintings, pottery, woodwork, lotions, furniture, and much more!

 


Friday On The Green

John Bull
Friday, July 2 – 6:30-8:30pm
Russell Crossroads

From Riverboat Captain to a blues-singing, harp-playing, award-winning musician—John Bull returns to Russell Crossroads and takes the Green Stage with some really good music and maybe a story or two! Come join us as John and Ed Picket play from 6:30 to 8:30.

Yoga On The Green

The Town Green at Russell Crossroads

Yoga On The Green is designed for all levels from beginner to intermediate, so come join us! We have a wonderful group of certified instructors again this year! We are very happy and excited that Barbara Sokol, Terrie Rich, Abby Brown, and Peggy Clayton are back this year. We are also excited to announce that Taira Adair will be joining in this season. Be sure to bring your mat and water bottle!


Alexander City Celebrate Freedom

BRHS Band Practice Field

The event is held on Benjamin Russell band practice field. It is free to the public, but no coolers, please. Vendors will be provided.

Concert & Fireworks

Sunday, July 4 – 5:30-10:30pm
The AMP on Lake Martin

Join us on the grassy lawn at The AMP for the Southeast’s largest fireworks show and concert. We always have a fun time with great music, then we light the sky with a million colors! Claim your spot early and get ready to have some fun.

We are excited to announce the line-up for the Fourth of July Concert will be, from Alexander City, The Bank Walkers, and making a return visit with a brand-new member, Sweet Tea Trio! So much fun coming to our stage, and of course, the fireworks will fly at 9pm!
